Coastal climate

Heat and humidity: why we measure before we install

Epoxy almost always fails because of what happens underneath. If the slab holds moisture, vapor pushes the coating up from below. Near the ocean, with hot, humid air, that risk gets close attention.

That is why the assessment includes concrete moisture, which must be below 4% (ASTM F1869), and pH. It is also why the work is scheduled: the product is applied between 10 and 30 °C with low relative humidity, which in Guanacaste usually means choosing the season and the hours of the day carefully.

  • We measure the slab; we do not assume it is dry.
  • Guanacaste’s dry season is an advantage for scheduling.
  • Coats go down in the coolest hours when needed.
  • If conditions are not right, we tell you before we start, not after.

The visit

How a Guanacaste visit is scheduled

We work out of Piedades de Santa Ana. Visits to Guanacaste are scheduled in advance and coordinated according to the property’s location.

  1. 01Message us on WhatsApp with the community, the type of property, photos of the current floor and the approximate area.
  2. 02We give you a ballpark price range remotely, so you can decide with numbers before coordinating the visit.
  3. 03We agree on a date for the on-site assessment. If you live abroad, your property manager can meet us.
  4. 04On site we measure, test the concrete and go over physical samples. The assessment is free.
  5. 05With the quote approved and the 50% deposit, the work is scheduled around the weather and the property’s availability.

Systems and pricing

The same systems and prices nationwide

Systems and ranges per m² installed are the same as in the rest of the country. Any project logistics are itemized in the quote.

The final price depends on the area, the condition of the substrate and the finish. We confirm it at the on-site assessment, which is free of charge.

Local questions

What people ask us from here

Does salt air or beach humidity damage an epoxy floor?

Once cured, the floor is a continuous, non-porous surface. The care comes earlier: measuring concrete moisture and applying under the right temperature and relative humidity. That is why the assessment is essential on the coast.

Does it work for terraces and pool areas?

We do covered terraces. For areas that get wet we recommend flake, for its natural slip-resistant texture. Areas in full sun and open to the weather are evaluated case by case during the visit.

I live outside Costa Rica. Can I coordinate everything remotely?

Yes. We communicate by WhatsApp or email, in English or Spanish. You choose the finish with the finish lab and the See Your Space tool, and your property manager meets us on site.

Do you charge for travel to Guanacaste?

The on-site assessment is free. The visit is coordinated according to location, and any project logistics are itemized in the quote before you approve anything.

Is your property in Guanacaste?

Send us the community, a few photos and the approximate area. We will reply with a price range and coordinate the visit.
