What it is and how it looks
A seamless granite look, without a single joint
The Flake system pairs an epoxy base with Torginol Signature Series flakes, broadcast until the surface is completely covered. Up close you see multi-tone flakes; from a distance the floor reads as an even granite.
The flakes give it a naturally slip-resistant texture and a pattern that hides dust, tire marks and small flaws in the concrete. It is the most practical system for spaces that get real use.
- 15 finishes, from light blends to dark ones.
- Naturally slip-resistant texture, even when wet.
- Ready for vehicle traffic in 48 hours.
Applications
Where it works best
It works wherever there are tires, water, constant traffic or little time for cleaning.
Homes and garages
Garages, carports, covered terraces, laundry rooms and home storage.
Parking
Parking areas where grip matters and the pattern should not show every mark.
Retail and offices
Shops, corridors and service areas with heavy foot traffic.
Industrial and warehouses
Warehouses, workshops and storage that need a continuous, easy-to-clean surface.
Food and healthcare
Kitchens and processing areas: no joints for dirt to build up in.
Build-up
How it is built
Three layers over mechanically ground concrete. Broadcasting the flake to full coverage is what builds thickness and texture.

Epoxy base
100% solids epoxy in a color matched to the flake blend. It anchors the system to the concrete.

Full flake broadcast
While the base is wet, flakes are broadcast until it is fully covered. Once cured, the excess is removed and the surface scraped.

Seal coat
A clear coat encapsulates the flakes, locks in the texture and leaves the surface easy to clean.

FAQ
What people ask us most
Will a Flake floor handle the weight and tires of my car?
Yes. It is the system we recommend for garages. The epoxy reaches 350 psi of bond strength, so the concrete gives way before the coating does, and it takes vehicle traffic after 48 hours.
Is it slip-resistant when wet?
Flakes broadcast to full coverage leave a naturally slip-resistant texture that holds up when the floor is wet. That is why we recommend it for open carports, covered terraces and wash areas.
How much does a Flake floor cost in Costa Rica?
Between $70–$90 per m², installed. The final price depends on the area, the condition of the concrete and the finish, and is confirmed at the on-site assessment, which is free of charge.
How long will I be without my garage?
A typical installation takes 3 to 5 business days depending on area and weather. You can walk on the floor after 24 hours and park on it after 48 hours.
Can you feel the flakes barefoot?
You feel a light texture, not a sharp one: the seal coat encapsulates the flakes. It cleans with a mop and neutral soap.
